This season’s Louis Vuitton Menswear collection caught my attention with their accesories. From their notoriously first class bag designs to their equally eye-catching eyewear, LV definitely brought their A-game. Paying homage to the man with an active lifestyle. The fisherman, athlete or yachtsman with a flair of style, all had something that they could use to make their fashion statement. With short shorts, boat shoes and anoraks to boot!
There was even something for the businessmen who prefer a more relaxed look that could be easily converted into a snazzy evening outfit suited for a dinner meeting or an evening on the town. The broad-shouldered and often double-breasted suits with their 1950s style gives that touch of class & look of debonair.
A series of khaki get-ups flowed into some very sytylish scubawear cut from cashmere! And among the sea of greys, navy & other subtle tones, the neon pops and adds that playful edge to keep the audience’s attention employed.
The neon ‘man-totes’ definitely drew my attention and I instantly fell in love with them. Not to mention, the knit sweaters & shoes! Fit for a catamaran cruise with friends. I’m also a lover of short shorts, and since it’s summer it’ll be perfect for all to cop a pair in this sweldering heat.
The collection was varied in trends. Few leather pieces provide that rebellious edge to the overall nautical look. Want to look trendy while you’re lost at sea? Well, this padded leather vest seems like the best bet. Now, some say the shoes are too feminine but I beg to differ. The shoes are sleek yet make a bold statement. The classic deck shoes made from exotic skins come imprinted with the LV epi pattern and those rope inspired shoes are like icing on the cake of this strong nautical theme.
