KISS THE GIRL Reveals New Collection!

Kesia Estwick, the Bajan designer who has blown up on the local scene this year since her ‘Mission Catwalk’ stint, has finally released the official photos of her newest Kiss The Girl collection.

This collection was debuted a few weeks ago at BB Fashion Week & like always, Kesia was a HIT!

Kesia decided to use three of Barbados’ top local models Kari McCarthy, Imogen Alexandra (who were both also featured in the last collection campaign)& Alanna Doherty, but also used two of Barbados’ upcoming local models Danielle Dottin & Nikita Kunar. The two new models made their debut at this year’s BB Fashion Week. Nikita was the favorite model of Jeff Rustia from top fashion channel Club Fashion TV out of Toronto. Kesia dubbed the models her ‘KISS girls’.

Kesia Estwick – ‘Kiss The Girl’ Collection

Some of you may know the name Kesia Estwick for her stunning designs at Barbados’ premier fashion showcase event ‘BB Fashion Week’ for the past two years, or maybe you became a new fan of her as one of the new ‘Mission Catwalk’ stars. Estwick starred in the Caribbean’s spin of fashion reality show ‘Project Runway’ and was eliminated in the show’s 9th episode but represented Barbados fiercely with her cutting edge designs.

Kesia debuted her newest collection for the summer, dubbed ‘Kiss The Girl’, via a photoshoot which was posted on her official page on Facebook. She chose Barbadian models Imogen Cooper and Kari McCarthy as the brand’s newest faces for the collection. Let’s take a look!

Caribbean Fashion Week 2012 Recap

The Caribbean’s premier fashion event, Caribbean Fashion Week, has recently come to an end.  Founded in 2001 and produced by Pulse Investments Ltd., Caribbean Fashionweek is recognized worldwide and has attracted international media houses such as Vogue (U.K.), Fashion TV Paris, the Associated Press, Black Entertainment Television (BET TV), Women’s Entertainment (We TV), The New York Times and BBC.

CFW has celebrated it’s 11th anniversary this year and welcomed many fantastic designers, performances by Estelle and Brian McKnight and appearances by some of the Caribbean hottest top models and supermodels like Januel Mckenzie and Nell Robinson.

Fifty of the region’s best designers showcased in CFW this special year. This is without question a record-breaking, history-making line-up of Caribbean talent such as Gavin Douglas, Shaco, Tiger Lilly, Meiling, Mutamba, the Mushroom, Rachael Williams, Summer Jarrett, Nell Robinson’s Bang!, Cedella Marley, The Cloth, Zadd and Eastman, Julan, Biggy and Drenna Luna. Even Mission Catwalk finalists Crystal Powell and Ryan Chan made their appearances.
